Digital Signage Vol.II - The Magic of the "Roll-Outs" -

As we saw in Digital Signage Vol. I, this tool is one of the best tools to channel corporate messages and make them reach the target. Now, if we take into account the technical point of view, we can not forget the relevance that supports and infrastructures acquire when it comes to being able to optimally execute a campaign based on Digital Signage. This is very important because, although we only perceive the result, there is a lot of work behind that makes it possible for the message to end up reaching its recipient.

The redefinition, the roll-outs, and finally the implementation, play an essential role in all this, making tangible the intangible in digital signage campaigns. Throughout this article we will briefly introduce the elements to be taken into account in each of these phases.

First of all, in Digital Signage projects we will have the so-called stake out, which will consist of carrying out one or more visits to the place of installation to study its characteristics. This phase is one of the most important from the point of view of the installation of the devices, since it will allow us to anticipate all kinds of setbacks in the installation and optimally plan the execution of the subsequent deployment.

Second, but not least, the roll-out: all the technical deployment necessary until the start-up of Digital Signage devices. For the organization of logistics and monitoring of the OGP may be: high concentration (the installation or mass deployment of numerous devices in a single establishment or headquarters), or high geographical dispersion, where a number will be installed smaller of devices although in numerous seats throughout all the national territory.

We must also take into account whether the equipment (Totems, players…) will be supplied at the installation site or will the installation company carry out the supply, storage and stock control of the materials and equipment to be used. Finally the start-up takes place. We arrived at the important certification process, which will consist of on-site and remote validation with the client of the work carried out. This part, and once formalized the exchange of documentation (reporting, photos, minutes ...) is one of the most exciting moments of the whole process, since at the end it becomes visible and materializes the project, and the result is perceived and finishing of the facilities. It is of special relevance that the devices are integrated with the environment, and this will be given thanks to a good finish and a start-up of the equipment made with total quality.

In short, the Digital Signage is much more than a series of screens that capture the attention of the public, since it requires a wide variety of activities before and after the intervention, and a very specific planning to reach the final place in the that are found and that all systems work according to what is established. In this way, the technical field is key to its subsequent use and main function as a communicative and interactive promotional element.
