Viatek Group, recognized for the promotion of youth employment

Youth employment Grupo Viatek has been recognized as a Company Committed to Youth Employment by the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce. The reason for this recognition is the support for creating job opportunities for young people, which Grupo Viatek carries out as part of its corporate culture in the areas where it operates (Spain, Peru and Colombia).

In this case, Grupo Viatek has participated in the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE) to advise, train and qualify more than 5.000 young people in the Canary Islands. The program consists of counseling, training and qualification of young people so that they have access to more and better job opportunities, in the hands of companies with a desire for social collaboration. In this way, quality youth employment is promoted.

Grupo Viatek has contributed to the training and qualification of young people in activities related to the ICT sector, specifically with the areas of services and telecommunications infrastructures. The activity of the Group in the Islands focuses on the installation and maintenance of telecommunications networks for home service (FTTH), both physical and satellite, and in which young participants have participated in this initiative to promote youth employment.

The PICE program is an initiative of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Employment and Social Security aimed at young people between 20 and 21 years old. In recent months, it has been expanded to include young people between 25 and 29 years old, to reach the objective of facilitating the incorporation into the labor market of 85.000 jóvenes.
